Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19/06/2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Promodite, S.L.
(hereinafter, "the Controller") collects, uses, and protects information from users of the
Rezar en Familia mobile application (hereinafter, "the App"), in
accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679) and Spanish
Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
1. Data Controller
- Entity: Promodite, S.L.
- Tax ID: B87922852
- Address: C/ Pinar 6, Bis, 2ºG — 28006 Madrid, Spain
- Contact email: info@rezarenfamilia.com
2. Data We Collect
To operate the App, we process the following personal data:
- Device identifiers: We generate a unique identifier (deviceId) to manage your access and preferences without requiring user account registration (email/password).
- Technical and connection data: Device platform (iOS/Android), operating system version, time zone, and the IP address, which we use exclusively for rate limiting, security, and to infer approximate geographical location (country/city) without accessing the device's GPS.
- Service tokens: OneSignal token (for push notifications) and Firebase App Check token (to secure the connection).
- Usage data (Analytics): Pseudonymised information about screens visited, audio content played, and technical errors (Crashlytics).
- Contact data: Name and email address, only if you choose to contact us through the contact form.
Special Categories of Data: Because the App provides Catholic prayer content,
regular use may infer information about your religious beliefs. By accepting this policy, you
explicitly consent to the processing of such inferred data under Art. 9.2(a) of the GDPR.
3. Purposes of Processing
We process your data to:
- Service delivery: Enable audio playback and the technical operation of the App.
- Notifications: Send prayer reminders (only when you grant permission through your device settings).
- Security: Protect our API against unauthorised access.
- Continuous improvement: Analyse, in aggregate form, which content is most useful for our community.
4. Legal Basis
- Consent of the data subject: For the processing of your data, including indirectly inferred religious belief data, analytics, and push notification delivery.
- Performance of a service: For delivering the content requested by the user.
5. Recipients and International Transfers
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. However, we use technology providers
that are necessary to provide the service:
- Google LLC (Firebase): Analytics, crash reporting, and security.
- OneSignal Inc.: Push notification management.
- Own hosting: Our backend and database are hosted by HostForWeb / World Host Group, on infrastructure located in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union).
Where any provider may involve international transfers outside the European Economic Area,
such transfers are carried out under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable, or
through Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, ensuring a level
of protection equivalent to that in Europe.
5.1 Use of the Intercession Wall (Community Feature)
The application offers the voluntary "Intercession Wall" feature, where users can publish
intercession petitions (for example, requesting prayers for a generic need) and also pray
for the petitions of other people. If you choose to use this feature, please be aware of
the following:
- Privacy by Design (Anonymisation): To protect your privacy and that of third parties, the system does not collect free text, names, surnames or specific family relationships. Petitions are built using generic, predefined phrases, preventing identification and minimising the possibility of communicating personal details, whether yours or that of third parties.
- Publicly displayed data: When you publish a petition, only the following will be visible to other users in an anonymous manner: the generic text generated, the intercession counter (expressed as candles), and the country associated with the device's IP address at the time of registration or its last update in the database.
- Technical identifiers: We use your internal device identifier in a pseudonymised manner so that the App can remember which petitions and intercessions (expressed as candles) belong to you, without requiring direct personal data (such as a name or email address).
6. Minimum Age and Consent
Use of the App is restricted to persons aged 16 or over. In accordance with the General
Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), minors below this age cannot on their own provide valid
consent for the processing of their religious belief data.
By accepting this policy, the user responsibly declares that they meet this age requirement.
Rezar en Familia does not knowingly collect or solicit data from persons under the age of
16. If we become aware that data from a minor below that age has been collected without
meeting this requirement, we will delete it immediately from our systems.
7. Data Retention Period
We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for
which it was collected:
- Active use: We will process your data for as long as you keep the App installed and use our services.
- Technical persistence (iOS/Android): Please note that, due to the technical characteristics of certain operating systems (such as iOS), the device identifier may persist on the device after the App is uninstalled. However, that identifier will remain inactive on our servers and no associated data will be processed unless the user reinstalls the application and provides new explicit consent.
- Automatic deletion due to inactivity: In compliance with the storage limitation principle, device identifiers (Device IDs) that remain inactive in our backend for a period of 24 months will be permanently deleted.
- Intercession Wall: Active petitions will remain visible for a maximum of 180 days from their creation. Petitions marked as granted will remain visible for a maximum of 30 days from that mark, unless the user requests their deletion earlier.
- Analytics data: Information collected through Google Analytics will be retained for a maximum period of 14 months.
- Manual deletion: Notwithstanding the above periods, the user may exercise their right to erasure and immediately delete all data associated with their device by using the "Delete my data" button available in the relevant information section of the App, before proceeding to uninstall it.
8. International Data Transfers
For the main hosting of data and backend infrastructure services, we use HostForWeb /
World Host Group services with servers currently located in Frankfurt, Germany (European
Union). Therefore, the main hosting of the backend and database is carried out within the
European Economic Area.
However, some technology providers used by the App, such as Google LLC/Firebase and
OneSignal Inc., may involve international data transfers outside the European Economic
Area. In such cases, transfers are carried out under appropriate safeguards in accordance
with Chapter V of the GDPR, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or
Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
9. Your Rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"),
restriction, objection, and data portability by sending an email to
info@rezarenfamilia.com, attaching a copy of
your national ID or device identifier if necessary for identification purposes.
We also inform you of your right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory
authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency — AEPD), especially if you consider
that you have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of your rights.
